Moondog Labs Anamorphic Lens For iPhone Review

11.18.2017 7 comments

Looking for a cheaper option for a anamorphic lens? well the moondog labs lens might just fit your needs. For $175 it can give that 21:9 ratio on a budget. This lens is not a gimmick but does have a few kinks but is well worth the purchase. This lens will give you that cinema level look right from your pocket.

Here is some test footage shot on an iphone 6s+ in true 21:9 aspect ratio enjoy!

Footage looks amazing … do you have a gimbal to create this footage or just a stable hand smile .. the movement makes it look very cool..

He said that was on a Tripod with a fluid head. He did do one by hand though. I will have him come in and respond.

Great review, but no ‘link posted below’ to moon dog labs as mentioned at 9m10 and the grip design at 12m05

Hey, thanks for the review. I have an iPhone 6S plus and want to shoot a feature length with the anamorphic lens. However, I’m second guessing my iPhone since 8+ and X are out. How does the anamorphic lens function with the new iPhones that come with the wide/tele lenses on them?
